Obviously there are a lot of factors that change year to year, but I look at the improvement that has happened in Chicago with Mike Martz as offensive coordinator and can't help but be a little jealous. You can see the change in attitudes and play calling. Against Dallas, Cutler was being chased all over the field, and they switched to a lot of quick passes on 1 and 3-step drops. A simple adjustment, but something that doesn't seem to happen in Cincinnati. And the improvement has come using Cutler (a great QB), but also a fairly mediocre WR corps.
I can only imagine how things would have improved in Cincy if Martz replaced Bratkowski and had Palmer, Ocho, TO, Benson, Shipley, and Gresham to play with.
