If you haven't heard, Coach Brad Childress put Randy Moss on the waiver wire today (rumored to have done it without Zygi Wolf's permission). Given that we're past game three of this season now, waiver claims are now based on record, so the Bengals have a fair shot at getting him, should they want him.
This is half obligatory. It is Randy Moss, and part of me does see Mike Brown thinking, "Minnesota's paying his salary? And he's a good WR? A reported cancer to the team? Come on down!" Maybe he'll think it'll actually salvage our season or something, who knows.
I personally don't want him here. We've got Chad underperforming and T.O. underperforming. We've got Shipley already here and I want to see Quan Cosby get a chance at #4 WR (signing Moss would pretty much shelve him or he'd be cut since everyone knows Jerome Simpson is the next Jerry Rice), Moss would very much hamper both of their overall productions this year and I really don't want that. Likewise, that's another aging Receiver that we likely won't have next year anyway, may as well keep the young guys and continue our rebuilding process.
Speculate where he ends up here, I guess. I personally see New England picking him up after making Minnesota pay his salary.
