I've posted this several times about buying Mike Brown out in different threads. So I decided to create a fanpost to see if we could discuss this even further. Here's my scenario;
We are all upset with Mike Brown, right? I thought so. There were a few post and even a fanpost talking about boycotting the Bengals (well Mike Brown). So I say yes, in order to buy the majority shares from Mike Brown.
Now, I'm no business major or even a market investor, but I do know that when a business stocks are down and The majority owner is in a pinch, they tend to sell. Well, if we stop going to the games and stop putting money into the pocket of Mike Brown, then we might have a chance.
Mike Brown has investors that own other shares of this franchise too. So I say talk to the County officials to buy the Bengals shares from them. They then, (the county officials) can raise the sales tax 5 cents for several years to ensure that they would have the money to buy above the majority shares that it would take, to take the franchise out of the hands of Mike Brown. You will more or less force this with enough money, that he couldn't say no. Any business owner would have to accept a good deal. With having 20 more years on the lease and a boycott going on, Mike brown would have to sell and the tax payers would own them. Of course, then we would hire a team President and he then would hire a GM, this would ensure that the team stays here in the future and a competitive team would be on the field. As profitable as the franchises are, this would be a good investment for all. There would be No More Mike Brown too!
I know this is a dream, but dreams can come true with a little persistence. So lets all put our thinking caps on here in this thread and see what we can come up with.
