RE:
No lie, that sack happened on November 15, 2009. Geathers has had one sack since then.

wow
josh you are indeed correct, there is a thing in football called a “sack.”
wikipedia even has an article about this football term. it appears the rest of the nfl, the ufl, arena leagues, the cfl, and even college uses these. i’m wondering how we could bring this innovation to cincinnati. i mean i don’t want will rogers to be right about cincinnati (“If the world comes to an end, I want to be in Cincinnati. Everything comes there ten years later.”).
how can we get a few of these sacks sent to cincy quick enough for monday’s game? is there a team with some excess sacks laying around we could have fed-ex deliver overnight to the bengals? it would be nice to get the sacks in cincinnati a few days before game time so our defense could play with them in practice and see how they work.
(sigh)
its bad when the only joy i can pull out current bengals season is trying to amuse myself

Where is the pass rush?
They should have a D-line of: Dunlap, MJ, Peko and Atkins, I think that is our best lineup for a shot at a pass rush

Hey it's Steeler week!!
This is the must win game of all must win games if we want to salvage a season.
If we win we will be only 2 games behind Pittsburgh and have a 2-1 record in the AFC North with still 3 division games to go

Ya know, that's a great attitude to have.
I give them a .000001% chance at this point.
But ya know what? Beat Pitt twice and BAL once, and all of the sudden this becomes slightly realistic, if only b/c at that point 9-7 could win the division and they’d hold all the tiebreakers.
It’s the longest of long shots, but I mean why not have a little hope? I don’t think there’s really any chance w/ the way they’ve played, but we’ve all seen stranger things I’d imagine.
The real problem is that I just don’t think enough dudes care.
How will Chris Carpenter explain this to his children?
i wish i could be as positive as TBF
d-line has just worn out my last nerve with the 2010 team, which was already frayed and worn thin when bratt was retained in the off-season.
if the bengals show up monday, and if they play like they have some heart, and if the d-line decides to actually earn a paycheck for once this season, who knows, we could win. those are mighty big ifs and quite a few ifs.
matter of fact if i’m going to play that big an if game, if scarlett johansson and natalie portman were driving around my neighborhood and their car broke down and their cell phones were dead and they were drunk.. if

here is my only reason for optimism….MIKE ZIMMER… obviously we cannot trust Brat and to hell with CP9 but just maybe we can go on a streak of wins behind our DEFENSE… the key to beating these teams we have coming up is getting off the field…granted defenses get our offense off the field way to easy but maybe just maybe our defense can slow some of these offenses and give our offense good field position to do something with…after all if and llike every one esle its an if…u can get our offense the ball back at the oppenents 30-40 yard line… a three and out still results in 3 points… but like every one else that is an if… and i trust mike zimmer to find a way to get pressure after this team is being questioned if they can
