Terrell Owens is having surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left knee, ending his season.
The Cincinnati Bengals receiver hurt the knee a couple of weeks ago, but kept playing. He aggravated it while making a cut on the opening series of a 19-17 win over Cleveland Browns on Sunday and left the field.
Owens flew to Birmingham, Ala., to be examined by Dr. James Andrews on Monday. He tweeted that he was going to have surgery later in the day.
