Cedric Benson literally put the Cincinnati Bengals on his back, said follow me men, and became the catalyst of Cincinnati's 19-17 win over the Cleveland Browns last Sunday, snapping a ten-game losing streak.
Rushing for a season-high 150 yards on a season-high 31 rush attempts, Benson's second quarter 18-yard touchdown run tied the game at seven. The Bengals offense, largely due to Benson's running, generated 12 rushing first downs with nearly a 16 minute time of possession advantage over the Browns.
Benson's performance earned him a nomination for AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Unfortunately, Ray Rice ultimately won the award this week with 233 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in a 30-24 win over the New Orleans Saints.
