Pre-Game Open Thread: New Orleans Saints (8-3) at Cincinnati Bengals (2-9)

The Bengals play the New Orleans Saints Sunday afternoon in an effort to grab their third win of the season. No, there's no playoffs for the Bengals this year. No, there's no chance for even a .500 record. Yet, the Bengals will still play and hopefully play with pride.

Today's game won't be on television for the locals today, but I'm sure most of you are industrious enough to watch the game. Either way, here's the game's pre-game open thread. Talk about today's game, today's season, yesterday's college action or your favorite television program. Anything you want.

GH: You played in a crucible in college in Los Angeles and heard the criticism. Are you hearing what they’re saying now in Cincinnati?
CP: Oh yeah. Different stuff. Trash bags thrown on the lawn. I don’t mind people yelling at me, or saying things to me in public. What bugs me a little bit is saying stuff to my wife, and your kids are around. Nobody wants their kids to go through any of that. Not that my kids are old enough to understand it, but still. That’s the only thing that bugs me. People can say whatever they want about me, it doesn’t bug me.

Truth. I'm the same way with Marvin.

It’s probably in both of their best interests to leave this joke of a franchise for greener pastures. They’ve always taken the blame (though sometimes to a fault that allows others to go by unscathed) and they thoroughly seem like classy individuals.

I want both of them to win a Super Bowl ring as a starting QB and as a head coach. If not in Cincy, then somewhere else that doesn’t rhyme with Faltimore, Mittsburgh, or Steveland.

Totally agree.

I almost want Carson to go play for someone with fans who appreciate him and a good franchise.

He’s always taken the blame when things went wrong and never taken credit when things went right. He’s exactly what you want from a player as far as being classy. I definitely want him to get a ring. Same with Marvin.
