Reportedly confirmed: Rey Maualuga won't miss team's offseason program
On the morning of January 29, 2010, Rey Maualuga was busted for driving under the influence. Maualuga pled guilty on February 2, 2010, but had a seven-day jail sentence suspended. Maualuga met with the NFL the next day. And about five days later, Maualuga announced that Maualuga will enter the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California to battle alcoholism. It was believed that the linebacker wouldn't miss any time.
On Wednesday, James Walker confirmed that.
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga is not expected to miss the start of the team's offseason program on March 29, the AFC North blog has learned.
Maualuga recently pleaded guilty to drunken driving following an accident in northern Kentucky and soon will check into the Betty Ford Rehabilitation Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Barring any unexpected setbacks, Maualuga will return to Cincinnati by the end of March to work out with his teammates.

On a positive note about Rey...
INSIDE SLANT (from yahoo earler today)
Defensive tackle Domata Peko(notes), defensive end Jonathan Fanene(notes) and linebacker Rey Maualuga(notes) are in Samoa to aid in the relief efforts from last fall’s tsunami.
Peko and Fanene grew up on the island while Maualuga has family there.
Shortly after the tsunami, the three raised $50,000 through various charity events in Cincinnati. They also collected close to 300 pairs of shoes from the locker room at the end of the season.

Yea, they did some pretty awesome work. Kind of a failure on our part not highlighting that more.
