Bengals will face the Dallas Cowboys during Hall of Fame weekend

What have you always thought about the Hall of Fame game? It's the game played during Hall of Fame weekend -- typically the first game of the preseason. Blah. Right? I mean, there's competitive football, right? And we love competitive football, even if it is meaningless. Other than that, nothing much.

However, now it just went ten times awesome.

The NFL announced Wednesday that the Cincinnati Bengals will face the Dallas Cowboys during the 2010 NFL Hall of Fame Game. The game will be televised on Sunday, August 8 on Sunday Night Football. Kickoff begins at 8PM.

This will be the first appearance by the Bengals during the Hall of Fame weekend since 1988.

This seems like a good omen

Both for the season and for nationally televised games.

The NFL feels good enough about the Bengals to put them in the spotlight, and 88 was a very good year.

I hope they win

because my girlfriend like the Bengals AND the Cowboys. She has no clue its a meaningless game.. So I might here about how the Cowboy’s are better all year if they don’t win this one..

i actually said whenever the bengals go to the big one again i think the cowboys will be the victim!!! so hopefully this starts us in the right direction!!

Im going to this game

one of my best buds is a huge cowboys fan, so we will go and watch Emmit Smiths speech, and then the game. I cant wait. Plus its only 5 hours drive from me house

this shows you how great the bengals fan base is

we have one of the worst teams in nfl history, we occasionally have a good year only to choke under the pressure of the postseason, we have an owner who has no clue, and yet just the announcement of a preseason game gets us fired up, hell, I’ve already sent a text to my brother to let him know about this game, WHO DEY

I don’t know, I think our success last year combined with the string of big-name opponents on our schedule will get us at least 2 and possibly 3 prime time games.
