Bengals offensive players: Charting free agency designation, contracts remaining and base pay for 2010
The following is a chart of the team's Bengals offensive roster and where it sets up for next season. We take into account the uncapped year in which free agency is dramatically affected, forcing players to have six years of experience before becoming unrestricted free agents -- whereas it used to be four accrued seasons. On the chart, we list all offensive players, how long their signed for, their free agency designation if applies and what they're expected to earn in base salary in 2010. We'll be doing the defensive chart later today.
Since the chart is rather long, I'm going to force you to click one button. That button is...

Okay...here's what I'd do:
QB:
Carson: If he doesn’t have a monster 2010, he ought to consider restructuring that mammoth contract in the face of a re-capped 2011.
JTO: Unlike BTO, this guy ain’t ♫ takin’ care o’ business!♫ Ought to draft a 5th-or-6th-round QB in 2010 to groom as a backup.
Jordan: I like the idea of having the Carson Copy at QB3. Several intangibles. He’ll re-sign for cheap.
RB:
Extend Ced the Pred and Leapin’ Leonard NOW. Re-sign Larry Johnson (if possible) and jettison Jeremi…let Tony Rockyhara have his shot.
WR:
Hmm…everybody signed for the next 1-3 years. What can I say…some of ‘em ain’t gonna make it. Coles, Simpson (finally) and Brown all receive their Greyhound tickets.
TE:
Give Coffman his “do-over,” re-sign Foschi, jettison the rest. Make sure to tie-wrap the bus ticket to Coats’s arm, lest he drop it.
OL:
Re-signing Bobbie Williams and perhaps Kyle Cook (if it’s not too expensive, since Luigs is waiting in the wings) are the biggest priorities here. Here’s hoping that group takes advantage of the time to gel further as a unit.
Why don't you start speaking english because I can't understand a damn word you're saying.
If you don't live like you wanna, you live like you shouldn't
so...
resign Jordan Palmer, he sucks.
Coles and Simpson are staying. Brown is gonna get another look this offseason.
I like signing Kelly instead of Foschi.
Bobbie Williams I don’t mind letting go.
Everything else sounds about right.
If you don't live like you wanna, you live like you shouldn't
Chad also said
he couldn’t be covered…over and over and over.
What is politically correct today probably won't be tomorrow. God bless the Miami nation.
