I can’t imagine the guy being cheap enough… but he would be another great cog inside and would give us tons of depth

Old fat guys rarely work on a new team. I’d rather resign Tank Johnson because he’s proven to work well with Zimmer, and he played pretty well battling injuries for the whole second half of the season last year. Peko is already very solid and is getting better, Pat Sims also has talent and more potential, Frostee and Fanene can slide over on some downs and give the Bengals more depth at tackle. I would like to see another one added, but I would prefer a younger guy. Let’s get a safety and middle linebacker, and hope Odom stays healthy instead of signing an aged big man.

Don't forget about...

Clinton Mcdonald.

The guy has potential and could be a great back up. No wonder we kept him and signed him to the offseason roster, Marvin and Zim are up on this guy.

Sure he would be an upgrade at DT but I think this is very unlikely and unecessary considering the current needs on the roster. I agree with Mojo to resign Tank and pick up a DT in the draft. I actually think that a DE upgrade over Geathers is actually a more pressing need for the Dline.

The only reason I could even remotely consider this a good idea was if we were just doing it to hurt Pittsburgh. Even then, I doubt it would be worth it.
