The Bengals interest in McCoy

I personally like McCoy but I just can't see us taking him in the 2nd round which is where he is projected.  I agree that TE is a major need for us but I feel we can get someone close to his potential in later rounds.  If we are interested in taking a TE in the 2nd round why don't we take a shot at Olsen from Chicago which they are rumored to want.

Too many TE’s out there to take one in the 2nd. We aren’t going to pass to the TE 80 times no mater who it is. What I think would be interesting is a decent one in the third or fourth and Dexter McCluster in the second. A player like him in the lineup would put a lot more pressure on a defense than most any TE. Easily a threat to run or catch. Add in special teams and you’ve got lightning in a bottle. In our offense you would be talking about the offensive ROY.

For future reference HH123, this is essentially a comment.

We have a thread on the main page devoted to McCoy, and your response is actually about the same length as Bama Bengal’s comment, which isn’t particularly long

We’d like to see FanPosts a little more substantive than this, especially when it addresses an issue that we recently talked about. Appreciate the feedback, but you can do this is comment form in this case!

Tight end

I really dont think the bengals should draft a tight end we already have chase coffman and he was practically a steal last year in the draft, the offensive worry should be on drafting a big play receiver because chad ocho and bryant arent the youngest of the bunch and caldwell is not really showing any signs of every being anything more than a slot and simpson cant even get a snap so they should maybe go after golden tate or maybe dez bryant if he falls to us
