UPDATE: Incongnito in Cincy TODAY! Bengals looking at another menace...OL Richie Incognito

UPDATE:  According to Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post, Incognito is actually in Cincy today and will visit Dolphins tomorrow.

The SunSentinel.com reports that the man labeled "NFL's Dirtiest Player" is visiting the Dolphins tomorrow, Monday, March 15.  The Sentinel's source also says our Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts are after the controversial offensive guard.

It is likely he will sign with the Dolphins considering he nearly joined them back in December but the Fins lost out to the Buffalo Bills do to the waiver claim and their bottom of the barrel standings.

Incognito has been fined almost six figures worth for his on-field treachery over the past few years.  This would be a change of pace for the Bengals.  Outside of Ocho's on-field fines most of Cincy's issues have been off-field incidents.

If the Dolphins do not sign him this week does the Bengals have a shot?  Do they want a shot?  Do we need some nastiness on the Offensive Line?  Do tell....

Is he really so much better...

than what we have now in the interior line, that his upside would outweigh the risk of stupid penalties? From what little I know about him, I’m not convinced. Our line wasn’t bad, and while they had problems with false starts, you have to be aware that in two separate games last year, Incognito took not one but two personal foul penalties. Hard to win games when some guard is backing you up the field like that.

I’d rather let the Dolphins or Colts deal with this loose cannon, and take my chances in the draft (or go after that Houston guy, or stick with the Livings / Mathis tag-team).

this would be a stupid move… we need more senseable guys…and less penalties… resign bobbie or draft someone

INCOGNITO is the kind of player the Bengals have not had since the retirement of R.Braham,

I bet that Carson will welcome him to Cincy with open arms. What team does not want their guards and centers NASTY. Despite the play of the line last year…there is a big need for A guard to replace Bobbie if we can ever sign him.

We have a nasty beast in Shirley....

When Alex gets him ready to play (which I think he will), this guy is mean and nasty. He has a lot of potential…. I think we will see him this year, in play.

Only if we can't get Bobbie for one more year

I was watching some tape on Iupati and he looks like the reak deal. I’ve seen the tape on Taylor Mays, and will admit that the guy’s and animal, but we need a safety to cover not hit helmet to helmet 12 times a year.

My vote is to re-sign Bobby for his curtain call with Cincinnati and let him bring along Iupati, who WILL be a perenial all pro in 2-3 years with the proper development.

If we can’t get Bobbie back I think that Incognito has more upside that some older and more expensive veterans out there, but I can see Iupati as the RG of the future.
