Kevin Coyle checking out defensive backs during Eastern Michigan's Pro Day
Bengals defensive backs coach Kevin Coyle was one of ten representatives on hand for Eastern Michigan's Pro Day on March 15. Two players that Coyle could be checking out is defensive back Johnny Sears and safety Chris May, writes Gil Brandt.
Defensive back Johnny Sears (5-foot-11 3/4, 184 pounds) ran 4.72 seconds against the wind in the 40 and 4.62 with the wind. He had a 35.5-inch vertical leap, 10-1 broad jump, 4.38 short shuttle, 6.65 three-cone drill, and 11 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds.
Safety Chris May (5-9 7/8, 195) ran 4.73-seconds against the wind in the 40 and 4.57 with the wind. He had a 34-inch vertical leap, 9-2 broad jump, 4-10 short shuttle, 6.55 three-cone drill, and 14 bench press reps.
In case you're wondering, all we're doing here is pointing out where are coaches are reportedly going and possible prospects they're checking out. This is by no means an indication of the players that they're going to draft in April.

It is nice to see the coaches and staff doing their homework before the draft. I am really looking forward to the draft days even though I hate the new format (3 days). Hopefully we can obtain a “steal” again this year like we did when Rey fell to us last year.

Always nice
to see my alma mater getting mentioned for draft prospects. Go Eagles!
I once defended the managerial styles of Jerry Narron after a Reds loss in a bar after a long night of drinking. I wish I could say that I don't remember doing that.
