Brandon Marshall to visit Seattle. T.O. and Chambers on Bengals radar.
It seems like others teams are in the lead to get Brandon Marshall, we should all know we wont have any chance to sign Marshall. We know the players dont like coming to Cincy and its pretty obvious we wont throw the money at him. He visits Seattle Saturday.
Adam Schefter tweeted:
Oh boy -- Brandon Marshall expected to be in Seattle on Saturday to visit the Seahawks and see if they can hammer out an offer sheet.
Other sites (including Bengals.com) are reporting that we are interested in T.O. and some other slightly bigger names. Pro Football Talk and Hobson have reported.
Owens is just part of a list that includes Antonio Bryant, Kevin Walter, Chris Chambers, and Josh Reed. The way head coach Marvin Lewis talked last week at the NFL scouting combine, the Bengals aren't looking to make a quick, lucrative deal. But in the past they have put out feelers on the first day and then waited for the market to settle.
UPDATE: Arrowhead pride reportsReport: WR Kevin Walter Being Recruited By Chiefs, Others http://sbnation.com/e/1122567
Chris Chambers a Bengal? http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2010/3/5/1358420/bengals-sniffing-around-chris
No WR's in Bengals draft sights?
It has also been reported that the bengals are not impressed with any of the receivers in the NFL draft. So will this mean we will get more active in free agency? Doubt it, but only time will tell.

If Seattle signs Brandon Marshall to the offer sheet, Broncos would have seven days to match — or get back the draft’s sixth overall pick.

I disagree
They could easily hold out for a first round pick. Why would they do a sign and trade for a second rounder when they can get a first automatically if he goes somewhere else?
i dont think its automatic they will get a 1st for marshall

I'm glad to see them working on this,
Tank along with Roy are big reasons that the D did what they did last year. Veteran and a different presence in the locker room.
Not so much Roy
He only played, what? 7 games?

Yeah but,
he actually set the bar at that position.. and in the locker room I’m sure his presence was heard.
I remember the first game of the year..
Roy Williams sent out a message to everyone in the league that he was on our team now and he meant business when he came up and took the air right out of Moreno.

Watch Moreno get up after the play and wobble his way off the field.. excellent.
Oh yea, and check out when he introduced himself to Donald Lee..

We need to send these videos to Mikey somehow,
As to get him to sign Roy. NOW!! Whatever it takes, he needs to pay the man. If we lose Roy b/c of Mikey’s cheapness, I’ll go down to the stadium and throw up all over his Fu**ing office. Then shit a big turd on his desk… For shitting on the fans, for how many years?
Don’t hold me to it though..
Chambers played well for KC in 2009
TO lacked #’s but lacked a QB HC and a good team in the Bills
He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is
