PrintTank Johnson just tweeted that he and the Bengals have reached a deal. He was up late last night working out in preparation for talks with other teams, but indications are that he's staying put.

This is a good move to solidify the defensive line rotation next year. Tank was a valuable asset, numbers aside, when he was playing, and provides much needed veteran depth and system familiarity on the defensive front.
Update: ESPN reports the deal is for 4 years. No other details were listed. Tank started 13 games for the Bengals last season and appears to have been popular in the locker room if Twitter is any indication.

Nice to reward guys that contributed with a nice contract.
4 years takes him 28-32 and provides Zimmer a solid pass rushing DT.

Remember last year when the Bengals signed him and the media had a field day calling Tank a thug and another bad apple for the Bengals, even tho he hadn’t had any incidents since his days in Chicago ? It didn’t matter that he had been with the Cowboys for 2-3 years and was a good citizen. Remember Hard Knocks where he’s putting his little girl’s bed together ? Glad to see the signing. I know Mike Zimmer had alot to do with Tank being signed to begin with I’m sure he’s pleased with the signing. Increases the stability on the line. It would be nice to see what Tank can do if he was healthy for the whole year.
I'm relieved to hear it
since several weeks back I had said that even Mike Brown wasn’t so dense as to let Tank walk after the way he played this year. It’s always taking a foolhardy chance betting on MB’s football sense, but this time he came through.
Now Tank, get that foot healed so you can get a bit more penetration.
