When we drafted Keith Rivers in the first round I remember analysis saying he was "the most pro ready" player available in the draft. He got off to a good start as a rookie but was halted by a use to be clean but now dirty shot by a punk playing for Pittsburgh wearing number 86. This sidelined him a little more than half his rookie year. Last year he come in and performed at a high level but it was no where near the level of expectations I had when we drafted him in the first round. Now we've all heard about his off season training in MMA athletics and I think that should help a lot. However it's in my belief that this should be his breakout pro bowl season. If it's not than I feel it's safe to say that he's just going to be a serviceable starting LB as opposed to the pro bowl monster sacking tackling machine I thought he would be when we picked him... Maybe I'm just being pessimistic a little but this is his third year in the league and that's usually when player's really come to light. Does anyone else think that Keith should make the pro bowl next year or he hasn't successfully lived up to his expectations?
