Bengals Banter: When Corey Dillon Is In the News, It Can't Be Good
Here's a few things to take note of. The Bengals reportedly still want to sign Reggie Kelly to a one-year deal if the money is right. With a team that's sporting the best tight end in this year's NFL draft, you have to think that door is slowly closing on Kelly, who might be best served to take what he can get.
Bengals will kick off Organized Team Activities (OTAs) on May 11.
If the Bengals elect to sign any of their tryout players they had on hand this weekend, it seems likely that'll happen this week.
+ Undrafted long-snapper Mike Windt reportedly had offers from several teams, but choose the Bengals because of punter Kevin Huber.
"He not only knows punting very well, he knows long-snapping," Windt said. "He knows me very well, and he knows my tendencies. He can help me fix them pretty fast."
+ Former Bengals running back Corey Dillon was arrested for allegedly assaulting his estranged wife Saturday night.
+ Former Bengals offensive lineman Stacy Andrews already took a pay cut and he's now moving back to right guard to replace his recently departed brother. As of this posting, Shawn is still unsigned.

Anyone surprised?
That contract was way too big to begin with. I’m glad the Bengals didn’t try to offer more just so they wouldn’t lose him. His brother should get a chance to play with somebody. He was a former Pro Bowler who is still fairly young. They must be concerned about his injury.
not shocked
eagles over paid.
wonder why we didn’t bring his brother in for a work out. at least give him a look over.

Why did the Eagles cut his brother ????
From what I read, the Eagles patience ran out. It was a combination of injuries, mental and a question of whether he had a desire to play. I haven’t heard of anyone knocking on his door. I would imagine he wouldn’t be interested in playing at a league minimum.
profootballtalk went below the belt.
Apparently former NFL running back Corey Dillon is trying to make a comeback, with his original team.
The Bengals.
Less than two weeks after Dillon was arrested for DUI, he has been busted for spousal abuse. According to TMZ, the arrest came Saturday night at his home in Calabasas, California.
he hasn’t been with the bengals since 03. that’s 7 years. ugh. get new material.
RIP Slim.
i blame the national media
bengals don’t lead the nfl in arrests and havent for years. we arent even in the top ten teams with arrests for years.
doesnt matter, any site or forum you post anything bengals on, sooner or later some asshat always makes a joke about bengals, prison uniforms, and felonies.
can’t recall the last time someone said a player should go try out for the washington, denver, miami, jacksonville, indy, minn, san diego, tampa bay, kansas city, pitts, ny giants, atlanta, or chicago. all teams with many more arrests than the bengals over the past 5 years.
blame this on national media liking to sensationalize, sorry authors that can’t find new material, mike browns need to shop at the odd lots discount bin of the nfl, and chris henry for his multiple arrests over a couple years.

Florio must have been out of material.
Douche. Assault is more Cleveland/Pittsburgh territory. When we WERE having legal issues it was limited mainly to alcohol-related stupidity. Virtually that entire run didn’t include any of the Bengals players harming anyone.
