Around SBN: Ryder Hesjedal Wins Giro d'Italia

"It’s everybody’s concern," Brown said. "A few teams are set but most of us are in the same boat where sales have been slow. Everyone is looking for that answer as to what is going to work and trying a lot of different angles."

You may be on to something

Maybe someone at the front office should hire you. Of course they like their model;

1. Terrible economy
2. Raise ticket prices
3. ???
4. Profit

It turns out I overestimated my apathy, but not enough to matter.

well

they have raised ticket prices pretty much every season and they have had six or so straight seasons of selling out. My guess is when they stop selling out and/or no longer continue to see revenue increases from ticket sales, is when ticket prices will come down.

So we've been selling out since 2003

Through mediocre and sometimes terrible play but we can’t sell out for a playoff team? To many billboards degrading the commitment of the front office..

Or

To the economy tumbling, hdtvs being cheaper and drinking at a bar or home is awesome.

I would like to know the profit margin

Of the concessions..It’s has to be more than 700%

I can go to a bar and buy a beer for 1$ and the bar still has a profit margin… So the stadium has to have no less than 700% on the beer and when you think about going to the grocery store and buying even the best hot dog’s available they are nowhere near 6$… Anyone have an idea of what a more exact number would be for this?
