The Denver Broncos have signed their first-round pick, Demaryius Thomas, to a five-year, $15 million deal which includes $9.35 million in guaranteed coin.
Thomas was the 22nd pick in the first round last April, right behind Jermaine Gresham. The 20th pick, Houston's Kareem Jackson, has also come to terms, signing a four-year contract (with a further one-year option) worth $16.3 million ($10.35 guaranteed).
That pegs the deal Gresham ought to get at about $15.6 million overall, with $9.85 million or so guaranteed. As of earlier today, there had been no progress on the Gresham front, but hopefully the news out of Denver will help break the logjam.
Sunday morning update: The Cleveland Browns reached a reached a five-year, $50 million deal with their first rounder, CB Joe Haden, on Saturday. With that signing, Gresham becomes one of just eight first-round picks who remain unsigned.
