Bengals Sign Otis Hudson: Second Draft Pick Signed

Stay connected for news and updates

Tuesday night, Dave posted that the Bengals were close to signing fifth-round pick Otis Hudson, offensive lineman from Eastern Illinois and Minnesota. On Wednesday, Bengals.com (the mothership) releases that the Bengals have officially signed Hudson to a contract, making him the second 2010 draft pick to sign with Cincinnati behind Dez Briscoe.

“Otis needs work to polish his technique, but he’s a big, explosive man with NFL physical ability,” said offensive line coach Paul Alexander in a news release. “He’s a player we can work with and develop.”

As of this posting, Hudson figures to be the Bengals backup right guard behind veteran (and probably mentor) Bobbie Williams, who is kicking off the first year on a two-year deal. Will Hudson be Williams eventual replacement?
