How Would You Like To Represent Cincy Jungle In SB Nation Madden 11 Franchise

This might not be for everyone, but let me ask you a question anyway.

Do you own Madden 11 on the Xbox 360? Do you play it like mad, hours on end and have a serious attitude if you lose? And do you play against random strangers online? If you answered yes to all three questions, then check this out.

Right now the football blogs at SB Nation are discussing the possibility of conducting a 32-team franchise mode season on Madden 11. The idea is that each blog will be represented by their own teams. For example, one of you would be Cincy Jungle's representative, playing as the Bengals during a full season, during the same week in which the real games are played.

If you're interested, I need to know who you are. I only require two things.

That you're a bad ass and can rip other teams to shreds and make us proud
Availability

Since most of this is in preliminary discussions within the league, there's little details as of now. We're just trying to get the pulse to see if this is something that would work and something that you'd be interested with. So if you're interested, comment here or email me at joshkirkendall [at] gmail [dot] com. If we get a bunch of submissions, we may conduct a quick tournament to see whose worthy. Actually, that sounds like fun anyway. Also, I'm thinking that we should have a league manager; someone that conducts the team tournament and then monitors like a beat writer how we're doing throughout the season. Thoughts on that as well?

Idea

I also think that the league manger idea is awesome. I would love to take control of that since Madden for me takes up most of my time as watching the Bengals, reading Cincy Jungle and maybe even sleeping does o.O.

Yes, I would definitely like to represent WhoDey Nation!!!! My gamertag is Backdraft5. By the way TO is ridiculous on the game and he is only rated 83 overall! I recently won the Super Bowl on my offline Franchise Mode, and TO was a big factor in getting me there 60+ catches and 9 tds for the year. Throw it to him on a fade route in the red zone and it is a guranteed TD! Hopefully that translates to real life, lol. WhoDEY!!!

Make everyone play in a single elimination playoff bracket to determine who represents CincyJungle. Everyone plays with the Bengals.

Agreed

When more details are worked out, and we’ll know more (as to if we’ll be going forward with it), I’ll set up a tournament style thing to find the best of the best.

Though I don’t really play online. So other than charting it on a piece of paper and then seeding everyone (which in itself could be tricky…. more like draw of the hat), and then having the winner email me, I’m not sure how to do the tournament.

Ideas?

I think this is a great idea.

Unfortunately I own a PS3 and I’m total ass at this game. There are these people who set all their sliders to 20 and think it’s easy; I’m on and off on All-Madden.
