Bengals Preseason Game Against Denver To Be Blacked Out Locally

If you were expecting to watch the Bengals live Sunday night at 7 PM against the Denver Broncos, then be disappointed. The game did not sellout by the deadline and therefore, the NFL Network will be blacked out in a 75-mile radium from Paul Brown Stadium.

That's right. For those of you that pay for the NFL Network out of your own pocket, be satisfied that this channel will be blacked out because the local team couldn't sellout a preseason game. That makes sense.

However, if you live in the area, then the game will be shown on tape delay starting at 11:30 PM on Local 12. And make sure you come here too, as we have some people that live out of the area, able to have a television channel that they paid for, perhaps providing updates.

Columbus

Josh I live in the ‘bus so I can blog updates for Sunday’s game.

Does this mean I can be our Madden Master now? :)

Ripped off a 56-7 win against a top ranked kid last night. Guess who he was. Yep, the Cowboys.

What’s the point of blacking out a PRESEASON GAME? They’re charging full ticket prices.

I could see if we were in a great economy and tickets were $25 each, then o.k. blackout the game. But in a recession with many fans w/o jobs, they are going to keep them from watching the game on t.v. because they refuse to offer up $75 to watch backups play? (especially when you get more action, are up-close, and get to see starters in G’town for $15, plus autograph chances)

Sounds like the NFL = No Friggin Loyalty to its fans.

I just find the games online

I don’t have antenna reception out where I live and don’t have the money for cable or satellite so all my tv watching comes from the internet. Peer to peer is nice.
