Open Thread # 2 Preseason Game #3 Bengals - Eagles
Cripes folks, we're up over 500 comments in the first thread. Of course, it's scrub time now. Wish I would have seen more out of the first team offense, but Mike Zimmer's reported anger this week clearly had an impact on the defense.
Hopefully Chad Ochocinco is OK after that killer pop he took. He did return in the final series.
T.O and Jermaine Gresham looked like a sight for sore eyes. Cedric Benson was in midseason form.
Anyhow, talk on.

Fell Asleep
I fell asleep before the game started and woke up in the 4th quarter. Palmer’s numbers look good but don’t equate into offensive points. From what I read if it wasn’t for Philly’s second and third string mistakes the Bengals don’t get many points. I don’t know how good Philly is, but I don’t think they are going to be as good as the Ravens or Steelers or maybe the Browns.
It should be crystal clear that JT O'Sullivan is not capable of running this offense. Palmer is only slightly better.
I know that it’s only preseason but Carson is still missing targets high just like last season but hopefully it’s a chemistry issue with all the new addition made this off-season.
Andre Smith looked like he has missed all of training camp and had a couple of holding penalties plus got beat twice and gave up a sack on both occasions. Hopefully he gets more reps with the starters and plays like he did in the last couple of games last year.
Geno Atkins is really really impressing the hell out of me with his explosiveness once the ball is snapped. Adam Jones is looking really good on defense and special teams.
Finally, the kicking game sucks and could bite this team in the ass if they don’t fix it.
Kenneth Lewis Moore
hey, it was a good game against a good team
both chad and TO dropped some key passes, but CP was trying to thread neadles. I liked the Gresham screen, benson’s runs, and the bomb to TO. not a bad effort overall. The defense looked 10x better than the previous games.
Gives us something to work on offensively. NE in week 1 will be a battle
Hi fans it Brandon Roy.
And ME.....LaMarcus Aldridge
Carson was trying to thread needles all right, but some of his throws were alarmingly high again.
He’s gonna get someone killed. Chad’s lucky no one was closer on that catch he skyed for.
