Daniel Coats recently joined twitter. Follow him here if you're interested. A fan pointed out to Daniel that he's not liked on the boards(obviously because he can't catch) his reaction was that he was playing with torn ligaments in his ring finger.

The Fan states:

Daniel replies:

@martylala I tore all the ligaments in my ring finger in the third game of the regular season last year. You can't blame people for not liking me they have the right to there own opinion. Thanks for the positive notes though that's how I like to see things also.

Take it how you want it. I'm just passing the word. He does later say that the thumb is doing okay now. Not that I think we'll be depending on his passing catching abilities any time soon. One can assume that he's using this as an excuse for why he had brick hands all of last year.
