Poll: NFL Victory Of The Week

This post is sponsored by Prilosec.

This week we've reduced our NFL Victory of the Week to fewer choices, rather than the NFL as a whole. Mostly upset specials, such as the Jets over the Patriots. Well, not just winning, but beating down the Patriots. The Dolphins surprise win over Brett Favre the Vikings and Bears somewhat surprising beating of the Cowboys. You also have the impressive passing day between the Texans and Redskins where if you combined their passing yards, you'd fall several feet short of a round trip journey to the moon!

But in reality, those don't matter. What matters is they you simply pick the Bengals win over the Ravens. That's all you have to do here. Simple as that. Easy peasy.

I actually think it's not a bad poll at all.

“Which upset are you most surprised about?” is a poll question you could easily find on espn.com or some other such website. I think it was just worded a little awkwardly. Good question though.

Which team had the Prilosec Victory of the Week?

I actually think the question is well worded, depending on what Prilosec means to you.

If you actively dislike Prilosec then its a bad question ie “Which team had the most disappointing victory of the week?”

However if you are neutral or better towards Prilosec, then you would read the question as it is implied/intended “(Since Prilosec is the best product on the market and is great because their sponsorship helps keep membership to this site free) Which team had the Prilosec (read best/most important) win of the week?”

FIRE BRATSUCKSKI

The only victory for the Bengals this week would be to fire Brat. Texans get my vote! The drunk Ravens coach should send MB his resume!

Bears vs Boys

Yeah I voted for Bengals/Ravens of course but this one was a surprise.

Bears are a real mess and for the Boys to screw this game up and lose and now be in the basement? Wow.

Predictable ones were

Dolphins over the Vikings. Farve was hobbling onto the field last week, and apparently didn’t get enough lube. He’s 6 sacks away from being out on IR.

Texans should have beat the skins. They are overrated because of mcNabb. They are good, but are not a complete team.

Jets over the Pats. Good game overall. I liked watching them bash each others brains in. The Jets are flying too fast out of the gate trying to keep pace with their leaders predictions of glory. Watch their wings fall off fast. Braylon Edwards is just the start. Revis will not be 100% for most of the year.

I had to vote for the Bengals.

Besides, this was a game that could make or break the season.

As much as I wanted to vote for us

I couldn’t. The Texans beat Wash in overtime to move to 2-0 ahead of all of last year’s play-off teams. Houston is trying to make the play-offs for the first time, and gaining that edge, no matter how small is big. Especially since they play the NFC East, which is perenially the best division in football.

I would have voted for the Bengals/Ravens game, but come on...

We haven’t lost to the Ravens in forever. It really wasn’t much of a shock that we pulled this one out. Maybe it was a shock to the talking heads, but not to us.

Also, how could the Dolphins/Vikes game not win upset of the week?? Miami definitely came out and made a statement here, because I don’t think anyone really expected them to win this.

I voted Miami/Minnesota

it’s not like the Bengals “get” anything for winning, right? otherwise I would’ve stuffed the ballot with Bengal votes

Stopping AP on the goal line 4 downs in a row? that surprised me a ton!

Agreed

I was never worried about this one (except during the game when I am always nervous, I was a little nervous watching the Bears game last year.)

I went with Houston because Minnesota is banged up and I still expect Miami to end up 3rd in their division, and I think Houston needed to not fall to 1-1 after beating the Colts.
