Mike Nugent Wins AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week
About this time last month, we were unsure which place kicker the Cincinnati Bengals would take into the regular season. While Mike Nugent nailed 50-yarders, David Rayner simply had more chances.
Then Nugent went all nuts, converting all five field goal attempts against the Baltimore Ravens, becoming the Bengals sole offensive weapon.
And he's being honored for his awesome performance. Nugent was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday by the NFL. Nugent has kicked six field goals this year, one behind Pittsburgh's Jeff Reed for most in the NFL.

It's a weird feeling
Not worrying about fg. Whether it’s the snap hold or kick I finally have confidence in the kicking game. Hope that doesn’t jinx it

Nuge
Nuge just needed to get healthy and ….. it probably doesn’t hurt that he’s back home to the Buckeye state as well. In addition to his FG’s, his kickoffs continue to improve. The two touchbacks in the 2nd half were very important to the win last week.
And …… agree with 3r1c …… this week’s award is well-deserved.
