Just Win Baby!!

Just win baby!!!

The days of the high flying Bengals offense are over.We have definitely become a grind it out type of offense.

The problem is most of Bengaldom has not been able to let go of the past, especially the '05 season. Its as if we want to make up for that season and the morbid second from scrimmage play on which it theoretically ended.

We want Carson to be the Carson we all dreamed of. Big arm quarterback who lights it up, scaring opposing defenses. He's not that anymore. At least not right now.

We are winning though. The truth is we were a soft team back then, losing clutch games.....winning meaningless ones. we were usually playing from behind ala week 1. Infact week one reminded me so much of those seasons and the frustration of looking good but losing bad.I also think thats what it reminded 85 and 9 of. We swept the division last year with a subpar offensive performance.....except for our running game.

Lets be honest most of us do not remember the Bengals first Super Bowl appearance...we were too young. What many do remember is 1988 and how high flying and explosive we were en route to Miami. We were more smashmouth in 1981. When the offense opened it up in 2005 I for one immediately had flahes of Esiason, Eddie Brown, and James Brooks overwhelming defenses.....Honestly I felt like a kid again.

What killed us late last year was lack of a deep threat to keep run defenses in check......period. Since" 2nd from scrimmage" all I have wanted was a chance to win a playoff game. We made it there last year I believe we can make it again this year if we play defense and run the ball. Then when big games come up and coordinators play stop the run....we play action and get T.O. and Ocho a chance to play pumped up again...they are not young players anymore and need a reason to "summon the swag".

So Im just gonna take on the old Al Davis soundbyte of "Just win baby"

Any comments?
