What does everyone think about moving Andre Smith to Left Guard? He doesn't appear to have the speed, reflexes, or agility to play Tackle on the NFL level. IMO, he could be a dominating interior lineman. Granted, he hasn't shown enough in order to get a good idea of his ability at this level, but his size and strength would, I feel, be a tremendous asset in providing a wall for Carson's blind side. With Whitworth next to him, that would be a serious blockade for any rush from that side. Maybe Carson would not roll out as much. Of course, Whitworth was overpowering at Left Guard, but until we find a better Left Tackle, then Whit will remain where he is. The point is, we need to see what Andre can do, and he very well might be a diamond in the rough at Guard. Anthony Collins is fairly agile and it would be worth it to, at least, see him at Right Tackle. How could he be worse than Roland? I realize that this post is mostly speculation, but was curious if it resonates with anyone. Why isn't it worth a try?
