Brandon Hughes was just cut from the Charges. He would be a really solid player to develop on the practice squad. I'm guessing the team is still trying to find a receiver they can sign instead since historically they've maintained offense/defense balance on both the 53-man roster and the practice squad. But Hughes can ball and still qualifies for the PS.
Besides, think of this as a trade: the Chargless get JT O'Interception and we get back anything besides JT!
