And It Has Begun.. Ocho To The Raiders Trade Rumors Swirl

Chad-ochocinco_medium

via www.appscout.com

Just as it has been reported that the Oakland Raiders could pursue Ochocinco  now with Hue Jackson as their head coach. As you know Hue Jackson was once a part of the Bengals staff as a WR coach and was reportedly choked out by Chad back in 05 against the Steelers. ProfootballTalk has reported the story here . The report came hours after Marvin Lewis threw Ocho under the bus with today's State Of the Bengals. Any thoughts? this could be legit, but what would we get for him in return? Are there any better options out there? What is Ocho's Value?

Well Chad is obviously lobbying for a trade now.

This time he’s doing it in a more passive aggressive way. I say if we can get ANYTHING for him pull the trigger. I know we have to wait for the CBA to play its course but when it’s all figured out if he’s still valuable in any regard then take what you can get. If he was being content I would say keep him just for what he’s done in the past, for the team and the city of Cincinnati. He’s been the ultimate Bengal the last ten years but it’s time to move on. He’s more of an embarrassment than an asset at this stage in the game.

I actually watched some older highlights the other day

He actually made a move after catching a pass. Even a stiff arm, he doesnt do that much now,,

Hopefully my picture doesn't show my bias.

I know I probably really don’t have an opinion being a Vikings fan… but that sounds good … looking in from the outside…

Take anything....

Who cares! He has a negative effect on Palmer. The Bengals just need to get rid of him. Carson Palmer is still viable. Palmer does more for the team than OchoCinco. Let’s create a website. Name it moveon.org. Oh that was already taken by the Democrats.. I think.

Bengals are the worst team in the NFL for the past TWO decades!

This makes a lot of sense...

Remember rumors from 2008 when the Bengals looking to trade for Michael Bush? Now with Bush being a RFA, a Chad for Bush trade makes even more sense. I’d be stoked on a trade like that, personally. Either way, Chad will be gone.

Any trade with the Raiders

will have to include several virgins who’s blood Al Davis can bathe in. Srsly, Bush would be a great value for Chad because, for us to get even something approaching similar, talent-wise, in this draft, we’d have to spend at least a second- Mikel LeShoure, or even a late first- Mark Ingram.

Bush is FA

Hopefully my picture doesn't show my bias.

by C Byers on Jan 20, 2011 10:56 PM EST up reply actions

He's an RFA

being restricted makes a trade more likely than getting Bush in FA. Bush has also come out and said he doesn’t want to play for the Raiders after Cable’s firing.

Chad going to Oakland wouldnt do anything for him.

Big time receivers going to Oakland have mediocre seasons and dont accomplish anything. My advice to Chad, dont do that to yourself.

he will have hue jackson

And a real quarterback in jason campbell. And the team had 8 wins last year. Oaklands actually a decent team now.

Exactly the best team in the division

Was the chiefts. That division is so up in the air even though the Chargers are there the division is open to anyone really.

Hopefully my picture doesn't show my bias.

by C Byers on Jan 21, 2011 1:23 AM EST up reply actions

the raiders swept their division

so you have to consider them one of the best teams in that “division” based off that. You gotta handle business inside your division first and foremost and last year the Raiders did. (Not saying they are awesome or built for success under Hue, just something to consider)

It's fairly funny that Jerome "THE BUST" Simpson outplayed Chad when given the chance, isn't it?

For Chad being as great as he is and as good as he is going to be w/ Jason Campbell as his QB next year, we can only wonder what kind of collosus #s Jerome could put up if allowed to play w/ such a great QB as Jason Campbell.

by Grizzlyfox on Jan 21, 2011 1:48 AM EST up reply actions

Whoa whoa

you guys don’t really think Campbell is a step of from CP9 do you???

by Throw the ball on Jan 21, 2011 11:08 AM EST up reply actions

I mean I've seen Jason Campbell play, it's ugly.

Oakland was loaded w/ talent, just like WAS was, Jason Campbell just held them back.

I mean McFadden had 47 receptions for 507 yards, an average of 10.8 ypc, but averaged 11.9 yac. So basically, he was catching the ball behind the line on average, and then going 12 yards. A team w/ that kind of player should win a lot.

yea.... really...

I was wondering about JCompton’s comment…. Campbell sucks

i wasnt trying to say campbells great or even good

I’m just saying when all the recievers went to oakland to die they were worse off at qb than they are now. He’s an ok quarterback imo.

I Wish We Could Get a Pick...

But we can’t trade a player for a draft pick until the new CBA is signed, so there’s almost no chance we can trade Ocho for a 2011 draft pick.

Of course, this is all remedied if a new CBA happens before the draft, as we all wish it would.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope I didn’t reveal my enthusiasm….

I think this would be a good move for Chad

Hue is the only one that could really handle him. He basically imploded personally and turned into “Ochocinco” after Hue left.

Ocho for Michael Bush

straight up. DO IT

releasing chad

if they release him, they owe him nothing. teams might now trade for him and just wait for him to be released instead of giving up a pick.
