A team source tells Yahoo Sports that Bengals coach Marvin Lewis will not return to Cincinnati even if he is asked back.

The sides won't make anything official for another few days, but this marriage is almost certainly over. Another source told Yahoo that Lewis is "very interested" in the head coaching opening at the University of Pitt, and ESPN's Joe Schad reported something similar on Monday. Lewis has reportedly become "increasingly frustrated" with the way Bengals owner Mike Brown ran things, particularly his unwillingness to hire a respectable scouting staff.
