Ten Steps That The Bengals Could Become The New England Patriots

While the Bengals are coming off a 4-12 season with a semi-controversial return of Marvin Lewis, one writer for a Boston radio network writes that the Cincinnati Bengals could become the New England Patriots. WEEI's Mike Petraglia writes:

No matter the criticism of ownership (some of it very legitimate) or how bad it gets, I believe the Cincinnati Bengals will someday compete year-in and year-out for an NFL championship with the right short-term and long-term plan. Do it the right way, and you wind up like the New England Patriots, the premiere organization in the NFL. That’s what they should aspire to. I’ve had the true privilege and benefit of watching the team work at different levels up close – or at least as close as you can without having Robert Kraft sign the paycheck.

The steps to make the Bengals an annual winner that Petraglia writes are obtainable, with many of the processes already in full motion. Yet, as many will cite, the steps would be stalled by Sauron (Mike Brown) because the 10-step program to improve the foundation of the Bengals would be as frightening as Frodo dropping the ring of power into Mount Doom. Either way, it's an interesting read. Give it a look.
