Just to refresh the chat about what everyone in the draft or with off season moves. And just sayin' this is supposed to be more about what everyone else thinks should happen. Not just tearing my idea up. :)My Mock Draft
1.) Nick Fairley DT Auburn
For the first round pick give me the Lombardi winner. This kid is a great athlete and a big mean streak. Some people may refer to him as a dirty player, but I think it's nice to see a player be aggressive on the field instead off of it. Fairley is the type of player that teams will have to scheme against, matching that up with Dunlap and you'll have an offensive line coaches worst nightmare.
2.) Marcus Cannon OG TCU
Marcus is a BEAST plain and simple. He's a college tackle who could easily kick inside at the pro level, but still has the quicks to play RT. We need to go trenches in our first two picks it's no secret that's two of our biggest areas of need. If we can add this big bruiser to our line I think we can run the ball efficiently again.
3.) DeAndre McDaniel S Clemson
Character Issues may be something that knocks this elite safety back to the 3rd. We're openly not a team to have character issues deter us from drafting talent. This kid is a play maker and is what we're missing in our safety position. Fun fact: McDaniel intercepted Chistian Ponder (FSU QB) and separated his shoulder all in the same play.
4.) Andy Dalton QB TCU
It's no secret Carson may not be getting much better but Marvin said that his QB for 2011 is Carson Palmer. But who will be the QB for 2012 and on? Assuming they won't look early on for a QB a mid round developmental QB would be a great bet. And with Dalton being here it would be a great pick up.
5.) Greg Little WR NC
The argument for a receiver earlier is something I understand. But the need to beef up the trenches in rounds one and two is something that out weighs Wr's. So without going early there will still be great talent in the mid rounds with Wr's like Greg Little. Little is a WR who converted from RB and has talent for getting those YAC.
7.) Allen Bradford RB USC
Running back's are a dime a dozen. If you have the line that can make holes anybody can run through those holes. This back from USC is much better than a 7th round pick but will most likely fall to the 6th or 7th. Decent size frame and has the power to be effective in the AFCN.
