I wanted to post this because I've heard this phrase thrown around a lot on here lately, i.e.-"If the Bengals don't change coaches/players/owners/etc. I'm out of Who Dey nation!" I have been as frustrated, if not more so than anyone I know or ever met that is a Bengal fan by the disgusting outcome of this past season (and many miserable ones before it). To take a team with that much talent and win 4 games seems unfathomable, I said to my wife during the Tampa Bay game as I'm shouting at the TV............"You should all be fired, released, traded, etc. right now!"............"All of you, how can I keep rooting for this (insert your preferred expletive here) team!" But a strange thing happened after that the following weekend.................I turned on my NFL Sunday Ticket (many people complain about the price of going to a game, I could go to several games for this price) and rooted for them all over again. I thought, "This week is going to be different, maybe we learned from last week?" "Maybe the coaches will coach better, the players will play better, the ball boys will...........ball better (yes, I said that)." You know the drill, but I watched them again and then again next week and again next week..........and on and on and you know what? I'll do the same starting with the first pre-season game next year (just as I have for the last....20 years or so)! Why? Because I love this team. My dad loves this team as did his dad and so on....I remember my first game, first tailgate, first time I saw Ickey Woods run the ball and my dad said "Keep an eye on him." So I ask those other followers, are you going to give up those faded memories of glory (Tim Krumrie's leg is all I can think about when mentioning the Super Bowl) and defect to the..........hated Steelers or Ravens..........or worse, the Browns? I certainly hope not, I for one, will continue my group therapy right here at good, old Cincy Jungle..........and press on. My dad certainly has............for the last 40+ years (and he's a pretty happy guy). Who Dey?!! So the question remains, how about you Who Dey Nation???
