Injury/Practice Report: Dontay Moch Takes Part In First FULL Practice

It appears as the season keeps rolling, the Cincinnati Bengals keep getting healthier. Save for safety Chris Crocker (knee), everyone on the 53-man roster practiced at least during individual drills with cornerback Kelly Jennings (hamstring), tight end Donald Lee (groin), running back Brian Leonard (groin) and wide receiver Ryan Whalen (hamstring) sitting out during team-related activities.

Bengals linebacker Dontay Moch (foot), took part in his first full practice this year after a handful of limited practices last week. Andre Smith (foot) showed up last week on the practice/injury report but didn't make an appearance on Wednesday -- neither did Jeromy Miles (groin).

As we said: The Bengals keep getting healthier.

Almost forgot!

With our defense being ranked no.1 it’s easy to forget that we drafted a player who is considered to be a “pass rush specialist” and also a special teams contributer. It’ll be interesting and exciting to see how/if we use him on passing downs and how effective he’ll be. I like our rotation at D-line, now I’d like to see a successful (resulting in a sack) blitz from a fresh, young linebacker on 3rd down!

I’d like to see him as a pass rush de. a d-line of Johnson, atkins, Dunlap and moch for a pass rush sounds pretty awesome to me!

I wonder if they will use him as a gunner on special team?

Considering his speed.
I can’t wait to see what this kid can do.

Moch should rest til the Seahawk game

Two extra weeks would go a long way for his recovery, can’t wait to see Pacman back in the mix

Doesn't seem like they are rushing players back this year

He’s probably ready. But also considering it’s his first full practice, he may not even play on Sunday anyway. Guess it all depends on what they see from him in practice

and they shouldn't

on defense. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. If Moch can contribute, I’m sure it will be done in a very gradual manner so as to not rock the boat.

Agree

Let him rest up for the Seahawks game, or atleast keep him under 10 or 15 snaps against the Colts.

Get his feet wet in special teams

And get him in about 5 plays on D when it’s 3rd and long. They won’t know what hit em. But they will after watching the replay.

Again, I'm excited about Moch

but we need to temper our excitement right now. He has never played standing up and lost the preseason to get adjusted. I think we’ll see some flashes this year but I think we’ll also see that right now he is a liability in coverage b/c of the lack of experience. Because of that, Zimmer will be limited to special packages right now.

Agree here 100%........

he’s not Clay Matthews yet. He very well could be in time, but he’s a rookie with no experience (including no training camp) right now. I hope they ease him in on special teams and then maybe plays as much as possible in mop-up time (hopefully we have a few of those games coming up soon!). But I think the key is to not rush him in because quite frankly, we don’t need to right now.

LOL....Kelly Jennings

Is he ever going to play? I hope he gets better soon, if I have to see Morgan Trent in there one more snap I’m going to puke.
