We'll start by stating the obvious, or at least the general consensus around these pages. We have a very young team, with a lot of potential in many areas.
Our players are very talented and as they learn and grow into their roles I believe we're going to see some of them turn into something very special. We have coaches who have grown into their roles over the years, who now have amassed a lot of experience with different players and situations. Now they stand with a group of young players and a chance to start anew. A chance to really grow this team into something great. these coaches can mold the new era of the franchise how they see fit, without any 'real' bad eggs in the group. The only concern I can see, is keeping the group together. As these players grow they will become more than we can (or Mike Brown is willing to) afford. A quick breakdown of the roster (see below) shows that we have 19 First or Second round players, these are talented players who under the correct guidance will flourish. But how do you afford so many talented individuals? I think it comes back to the coaching, in years past we build them up into these players who want more money run off somewhere else, usually only to be mediocre. Now we've become a 'team'. Our coaches have found a way to take some of these players who may have been considered busts or too much of a project, and put them in their comfort zones, making sure they're used appropriately. Just look at our entire defense, the rotation of the line for example. Every player has something they're good at and we're going to find out what it is and ride it until they can branch into other roles. Which brings up the coaches, as they (namely zim) continue to be successful they're going to be tempted to leave too. Hopefully we can keep the players playing as a team, and as Marvin said they're fun to be around, hopefully enough to keep a few of the coaches in town too.
