2012 Free Agents
Since the Carson Palmer trade and all the draft talk we've done here recently, I started thinking about what free agents are going to be available next year as well. First off let me say, I hope the Bengals make extending (most of) our own free agents a top priority, and with CP's financial burden finally gone it should start to happen pretty soon. I would love to see us make another huge splash this offseason. However, I'm not dilutional enough to think players like Ray Rice or Matt Forte are going to available because I just do NOT see there current teams letting them go. Having said that, one player I would love us to target is Carl Nicks (guard for the Saints), he's only 27 and the Saints just gave there other guard a huge long term deal. Drew Breeze is also a free agent this year and we know he's going to get be paid!! Some beleive there may not be enough money to go around for the Saints to resign Nicks and the Bengals should absolutely jump in if the opportunuty presents itself. With Carson's money freed up we should be in prime position to make a real run for at least one big named free agent. If Carl Nicks is available he's definitely the player I would like us to target. I know lineman are not always the sexy aquisition but I think it would just be an incredible signing if we were some how able to make it happen.

that would be nice to land carl nicks in FA he is one of the best guards, i would still like to see them land a breakaway running back, and a lockdown corner via the Draft as most of the big name backs will likely remain with their teams.. don’t get me wrong i like clements but we are constitantlu getting burned by faster receivers with us having 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders i think we should be able to sure up both rb and db positions as well as add some help for domata peko on the interior.
Like the idea for a couple reasons......
Bobbie is getting old (in NFL years, ancient actually) and we have a great chance to win now. Taking care of our O-line should be the first priority, then that leaves us open to all the options that seem to be most popular on this site (CB and RB in first round).
