NFL PLAYOFF PREDICTOR

Here are the teams ESPN predicted to make the playoffs.

From the AFC:

1.New England with over 90 percent chance to make the playoffs

2. Baltimore with over 85 percent chance to make the playoffs.

3.Houston with over 72 percent chance to make the playoffs.

4.San Diego with over 55 percent chance to make the playoffs.

5.Buffalo with over 62 percent chance to make the playoffs.

Star-divide

6. Pittsburgh with over 59 percent chance to make the playoffs.

They had Tennessee with over 40 percent and Cincinnati with over 26 percent chance to make the playoffs, but just missed.

I think this is a fairly accurate prediction but I think  Cincy's 26 percent chance of making the playoffs was really low considering the Titans have a 40 percent chance. The two teams I would take out of that prediction would be the Bills and Ravens because the Jets and Bengals will be in instead. Just my opinion.

And as a side note they predicted the Raiders had a 44 percent chance of making the playoffs, but with a record of 7-9. That just doesn't make sense.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Cincy Jungle's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Cincy Jungle's writers or editors.

Steelers 11-5

I don't think Baltimore is going 14-2

Flacco is only completing 50% of his passes (52.1%), and his TD to INT ratio is not much better than Dalton’s. They still play at Seattle and at the Chargers, and are home to San Fran, which has played well on the East Coast, plus they have 5 more game in a division where every team is .500 right now.

The rest is plausible.

That's it

Why play the rest of the season. ESPN has spoken.
Playoffs should start today.

The Pit / Bal / Cincy head to head games will determine the playoffs

ESPN is obviously assuming Bal and Pit win those matchups vs. Cincy.

9-7

While a lot of us would be a bit disappointed that we missed the playoffs if these predictions hold up(which I give no credit), I would also point out that a 9-7 season in which we have found a stud Receiver, a top defense, our Franchise QB, and accumulated an extra first round pick in 2012 and a 2nd round pick in 2013 should be viewed as a success. I’m not normally for moral victories but to be honest, I would have to be happy with that.

IF the predicitons held up, while we may miss the playoffs this year, we also set ourselves up to be a dominant team over the next 5-10 years which is much more important in my mind!

Anyway, weren’t these the same people who predicted 0-16,1-15, or 2-14?

If I remember right

I predicted 5 wins at least, possibly as many as 9 if Dalton developed quickly. He developed far more quickly than I could have hoped, and now I will be extremely disappointed with anything less than 10 wins and fully expect 11.

I think there will be a lot of emphasis on winning the division this year, even more than usual, because the wildcard positions will be very hotly contested. I fully expect half of the AFC teams to have 10 wins. The Bengals are in a good spot so far, having beaten the Bills head to head and being 4-1 in the conferece, but they’ve got to at least split the series’ with Baltimore and Pittsburgh. The Tennessee and Houston games could end up being crucial as well.

I agree

I really want baltimore to sweep the steelers. Because we have a better chance of sweeping the ravens and browns and split the series with the steelers. This will put us in the drivers seat going into the playoffs with a possible bye week and a home playoff game!
