Once again, our defense will either win or lose this game for us.

The Jags will want to get the ball into MJD’s hands early and often. But if we stuff him for small gains, the TE’s they have are going to get plenty of short passes.

Our LBers and Safeties have to be great in stopping both in order for us to succeed.

I expect our line to get to the Cali Kid on a regular basis and make him pay for holding onto the ball looking for the long ball.

RE;

Jacksonville’s defense is really good too; probably the toughest test we’ve faced yet.

bengals need to run to win. (should be my tagline this season – i say it every week)

bengals try to pass 20-35 times and there will be turnovers.

hoping our d can continue to hold starting RB to under 4 yards per carry. we’re not a turnover defense, so it all comes down to containing the running game for cincy.

Agreed.

The Bengals need to figure out how to be successful running the ball EARLY. The success in the 2nd half last week really opened it up for Dalton.

Very Good Point About the "D"

Both defenses’ scoring allowed is separated by less than a field goal. We traditionally have not done well at this site so I don’t see this as a stroll through the park at all. It will be a strong test for us where our offense will need consistency, avoiding turnovers and penalties to come away with a win.

With B. Will back we should be able to run more effectively..........

they are a tough D though, the only real weakness for them is their sack total. We need to establish the run early and then Dalton should have some extra time to spead it around. Our D should be able to hold them to mostly FG attempts, so we need to sustain a long drive and score 6 early. This will put them behind the 8 ball right away with the way their offense has struggled. I hope we win the toss, receive, and utilize a well scripted first series to score a TD.

Reggie Nelson should have a field day.

I’m certain he’s very motivated after the Jags traded him for David Nelson.
