Since beating the Buffalo Bills in week four, the Cincinnati Bengals continue inching closer towards one of the league's top teams in the NFL based on respective power rankings. The power rankings of SB Nation and NFL.com have the Bengals inside the top-ten whereas the Bengals moved two spots to 14th through ESPN's Power Rankings, which is the first time that ESPN has ranked the Bengals higher than 16th -- roughly the league's most average team. Brian Billick with Fox Sports dropped the Bengals a position though offering no explanation as to why; though it appears he has the Philadelphia Eagles leapfrogging the Bengals.
The real challenge this team will have will come during the next three weeks, facing the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens. Win two of those three and we should see a significant increase in Cincinnati's rankings. Top five anyone?
