Bengals cornerback Leon Hall was reportedly seen using crutches following Cincinnati's 24-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers following an Achilles injury suffered in the second quarter. Players reportedly expressed concern, fearing that he was lost for the season with a possible torn Achilles. According to Pro Football Talk, that's exactly what happened.
Confirmed: Bengals CB Leon Hall has torn Achilles. Done for year.
Hall will be placed on Injured Reserve at some point this week, opening a spot on the 53-man roster. The team could look at free agents available -- and honestly, if they're available right now, they're probably not very good. They did hold a workout for former Bengals cornerback David Jones; the guy Cincinnati traded away to acquire Reggie Nelson. Or the team could promote Brandon Ghee from the practice squad.
Either way, moves will be made this week.
