After the Bengals promoted cornerback Brandon Ghee in the wake of Leon Hall's season ending injury, a spot opened up on the team's practice squad that would need to be filled. On Wednesday, the Bengals filled that spot by signing cornerback Walter McFadden, the younger brother of Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden.
McFadden was a fifth-round pick by the Oakland Raiders in the 2010 draft. He played in the Raiders' four preseason games before the 2010 regular season but was released and signed to the team's practice squad after he cleared waivers. He was released from the Raiders' practice squad before the 2011 season and was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad before the season but was cut in October. He has not played in any regular season games so far in his career.
With the news that linebacker DeQuin Evans was placed on the Practice Squad Injured List, there could possibly be another spot open on the practice squad for the Bengals to sign somebody.
