Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones has missed eight of nine games this year and the one game he did participate in, he failed to post a single defense snap, hurting his hamstring during a 63-yard punt return early in the game. During the first half of the regular season, his rehabilitation didn't hurt Cincinnati because they were, as it were, covered. Then against the Steelers, Cincinnati's best cornerback Leon Hall went down for the season with an Achilles injury, heightening Jones' need to return, hoping to limit the impact of Hall's injury.
According to Geoff Hobson, cornerback Adam Jones is not going to practice on Wednesday, already pushing doubt if he'll be ready by this Sunday. Granted Jones proclaims he'll return for Thursday's practice, but how ready will he be ready?
After missing the first six games of the season, Jones hurts his hamstring during a punt return which may suggest he returned sooner than he should have, perhaps as the result of limited conditioning. Of course we're conjecturing at this point and who knows if Jones' impact will be all that great, considering he's only played 15 games dating back to 2006 where he missed the entire 2007 and 2009 seasons, playing only five games with the team in 2010 and one this year so far.
