Bengals Offensive Snap Count Against The Baltimore Ravens

CINCINNATI, OH - SEPTEMBER 1: Brian Leonard #40 of the Cincinnati Bengals runs with the ball during the first half of an NFL preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts at Paul Brown Stadium on September 1, 2011 in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty Images)

Cincinnati Bengals running back Brian Leonard posted 39 snaps at running back on Sunday, eight more than the team's feature back. Though the impression might generate a, "oh my god, Leonard is becoming the feature back" reaction or two, the snap count is undeniably understandable. Through 84 offensive snaps, 50 were passes and the more plays that are called passes, the more likely Leonard will be a heavy contributor for the offense.

With A.J. Green out, your primary receivers were Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell; both of whom made significant contributions one way or another against the Ravens. That being said, fan-favorite Andrew Hawkins posted a career-high 52 snaps last weekend (his previous high was 15 against the Steelers).

I wish every post on this site had a picture of Brian Leonard

I love him so much…I actually get giddy when he comes into games.

While I like Leonard as a football player

I’d much rather look at pictures of cheerleaders like the one on the power rankings article. :)

I admit though I get a bit giddy when he comes into the game too.

That, my friend, is a full fledged man crush

With Scott averaging 5 yards a carry

and seeming to stimulate the running game every time they gave him the ball, I don’t understand pulling him for Ced. I have been a big Ced fan but he didn’t show up and Scott was running with authority. The offense seemed much more in sync with Scott in there b/c of the threat of the run.
