Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith scorched Cincinnati's defense for 165 yards receiving, tied for most yards receiving in week 11 with San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson. Smith became only the third NFL rookie since 1970 to post multiple games with 150 yards receiving in a season and four of his five touchdown receptions have been for at least 25 yards or more -- blah, blah, blah. All you're reading is, this Bengals secondary better improve or our chances for the a playoff berth are going to diminish immensely. At least that's what I was typing and it happened to spill out in a brief Torrey Smith dedication.
That being said Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpson was one of seven other nominations for the week 11 AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Simpson, filling in for an injured A.J. Green, posted 152 yards receiving on eight receptions. Other plays nominated this week for AFC Offensive Player of the Week includes Oakland running back Michael Bush, New England tight end Rob Gronkowski, San Diego wide receiver Vincent Jackson, Miami quarterback Matt Moore, Cleveland running back Chris Ogbonnaya and Oakland offensive tackle Jared Veldheer.
