Report: Bengals Interested In Defensive Tackle Ronald Fields
According to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, defensive lineman Ronald Fields is "on the Cincinnati Bengals radar, according to a league source." A former first-team All-SEC nose guard out of Mississippi State University, drafted in the fifth-round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, Fields has played in four separate divisions in the NFL during his career -- along with the 49ers, Fields had a two-year stay in Denver, an offseason home with the Dolphins before signing with the Carolina Panthers on September 13, 2011. He was waived by Carolina on November 8.
The interest in a defensive tackle is due to the ankle injury Pat Sims suffered against the Cleveland Browns Sunday. Though the big guy was gritty walking off the field on his own, Sims sat on the cart when he reached the sidelines and was carted off the field. Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer wrote that Sims was "walking better" on Monday, though Marvin Lewis said during Monday's press conference more information will be known, in regards to his injury and availably this weekend against the Steelers, as the week unfolds.

he's joking
fact is: panthers are desperate for d-line depth and this guy couldn’t stick there. its not a good sign for his career.
