For only the third time this year, Bengals running back Cedric Benson broke the 100-yard barrier on Sunday during Cincinnati's 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns. On his way to 106 yards rushing on 21 carries, Benson's first quarter was dominating in every regard of the word. Along with a 16-yard touchdown and a 33-yard run, Benson posted 64 yards rushing in the first quarter alone with a 7.1 yard/rush average. Benson is one of three nominations for this week's FedEx Ground Player of the Week award.
Remember, that this is a fan vote so let's give Benson some love.
Other nominations for week includes Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson with 190 yards rushing on 23 carries during Tennessee's 23-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Arizona Cardinals running back (and former The Ohio State Buckeyes) Beanie Wells posted a franchise-record 228 yards rushing on 27 carries during Arizona's 23-20 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
