Your standard formation against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday included Reggie Nelson and Chris Crocker (who missed two plays that was originally reported as doubtful for a return) at safety with Adam Jones and Nate Clements at cornerback. Kelly Jennings and Gibril Wilson mostly rotated as your fifth defensive back, which the Bengals played plenty with Manny Lawson posting only 25 snaps in base and goalline defense. With Carlos Dunlap out against the Browns, Robert Geathers took a majority of his snaps with Jonathan Fanene filling in as he does everywhere on the defensive line. Atkins led the defensive front with 60 defensive snaps last weekend.
