Coaches love the guy that is not only willing to contribute in other ways, such as special teams, but really excels at it and gives the team a lift. On rare occasions a player is willing to remake himself to have greater success and opportunity at this level. Cedric Peerman has definitely fulfilled the first attribute. Bengals special teams are remarkably improved this year, and the point man defending kickoff and punt returns has been Peerman. His 11 tackles (10 solo), and ability to do it at speed shedding blockers, brings me to wonder about the possibility of a remake. He has the size, speed, and tackling ability to be a strong safety. With offseason tutelage on position tactics, would this be a possibility?
